Croatian sharing boards and a konoba table for the whole group

Your restaurant for celebrations in Zagreb's Upper Town

Among the restaurants for celebrations Zagreb offers, Time4Wine gives your group a konoba table in Gornji grad and food that's meant to be shared. Boards for four start at €44, and sparkling wine for the toast is €39 a bottle.

Why celebrate with us in Gornji grad

A celebration dinner works best when nobody has to choose a starter alone. Our kitchen’s traditional boards go in the middle of the table, and the wine comes by the bottle, so everyone eats and drinks together.

The setting helps too. We’re at Kamenita ulica 5, on the same street as the Stone Gate (Kamenita vrata), in the historic Upper Town. For guests who don’t know Zagreb, that makes us easy to find: the Stone Gate is one of the best-known landmarks in the city.

We’re open every day from 11:30 to 23:30, so a celebration can be a long Sunday lunch just as easily as a late dinner.

Birthday dinners, anniversaries, team dinners and family get-togethers in Zagreb

Birthday dinners

Order boards for the table, a couple of pizzas for anyone who wants something simple (the Time 4 Wine house pizza is €10.40), and a bottle of sparkling white or rosé when it’s time for the toast. Baklava at €4 or pancakes at €5.50 round off the night.

Anniversaries

For a smaller celebration, our boards for two make it easy to share: the mixed traditional board for two is €39 and mixed seafood for two is €47. Add a bottle of Dingač or Pinot Crni, both €42.

Team dinners and December company dinners

For a work group, the boards for four keep ordering simple and the bill predictable. In December, the Upper Town is part of Zagreb’s Advent, so the walk to dinner comes with festive lights.

Family get-togethers

Open from 11:30, we suit a family lunch as well as dinner. Start with beef soup (€5.50), the classic opener of a Croatian Sunday lunch, then put boards and štrukli on the table for everyone.

Whatever the occasion, tell us about it when you book.

A group dinner in Zagreb's old town

The long dining room opens onto the cobbled street, and there are tables outside when the weather allows.

When you book, let us know how many guests you’re bringing so we can prepare the right table. For a larger group, a phone call is the easiest way to plan it with us.

What a celebration table costs: three examples

To help you plan, here are three sample orders built from our current menu. Your group can order differently, of course.

Wine for your celebration

Start with a bottle of sparkling white or sparkling rosé for the toast, both €39. For the meal itself, our whites and reds run from €36 to €42 a bottle, and the house white and red are €22 a liter.

To work out how many bottles you need: a 0.75 l bottle pours six of our 0.125 l glasses, so a table of six gets one glass each from every bottle. Pošip (€38) is sold by the bottle only, which makes it a natural pick for a shared table.

Turn the celebration into a wine tasting

If your group loves wine, add Croatia in a Glass to the evening. It’s our guided tasting of six Croatian wines with a shot of rakija, at €35 per person. Ask about it when you book.
